Job Description
As a Kilimo Loan Officer, you become the face of Brisk Credit LTD to farming communities in your assigned region. You will travel to farms, markets, cooperatives and village gatherings to meet farmers where they work, explain how Shaba Kilimo functions, and help them decide whether borrowing fits their season and plans. Some customers will be individual smallholders, while others will be organized groups that borrow and repay together. You will be comfortable working with both.
Your involvement does not end when a farmer signs. The role covers the whole loan cycle: first conversation, assessment, approval support, disbursement, follow-up visits, repayment tracking and, where needed, restructuring talks that keep a good customer on track. Farmers trust people who show up consistently, so continuity matters as much as winning new accounts.
The position suits someone who understands agricultural calendars, planting and harvest cash flows, and the practical realities of rural lending. You will balance growth targets with sound credit judgement, keeping portfolio quality healthy while widening access to finance for farmers whom many lenders overlook.
You will work within Brisk Credit LTD’s lending policies, keep accurate records, and represent the company with honesty and respect in every community you visit. Expect field-based days, regular travel within your region, and real accountability for the farmers and the portfolio you build.
This is a genuine chance to grow a career in agricultural finance with a lender focused on rural Kenya. If you enjoy fieldwork, numbers and people in equal measure, we would like to hear from you.
